Don’t make this mistake when picking your outfits for your senior photos!
Want to have lots of variety in your senior photos? The biggest part of it is picking the right outfits!
Having a great senior portrait session is one part picking the correct photographer, one part location and one part outfit choices! Keep scrolling to learn more about what kind of senior photo outfit choices you should make to have the best variety in your senior portraits.
Jacy’s session was a perfect one to use for outfit choices for your senior photos. Her session showcases how to tackle the last part of that equation I shared above! Bringing multiple outfits to your session is a great plan. Even if we don’t get to all of them during your session, it’s good to have them as an option.
Don’t pick the same style of clothing for all of your outfits for your senior photos?
- A CASUAL OPTION: You can’t go wrong with jeans and a cute top. Choosing one outfit with pants is definitely my recommendation because it means we can do more poses. Laying down & sitting poses are easier when you are wearing pants! If you don’t love pants a short casual dress is perfect then you can do a longer dress for your other outfit.
- A DRESSY OPTION: This dress can be long or short just think of something a little bit fancier (if that’s your vibe). Long dresses give you some amazing posing options. We can twirl and get lots of fun movement poses with a long dress. Don’t worry, dressy doesn’t have to mean prom gown vibes! Your dressy outfit can be pants too (if you aren’t a dress person). Think cute flowy trousers and a cute top!
- A FUN OPTION: This is your wild card outfit! It can be related to your interests, hobbies or sports team. It could also mean something a little over the top like sequins or some fun accessories.
- SHOES & ACCESSORIES: Don’t forget to think about the shoes too, you change them up with each outfit. Also consider your jewelry choices & maybe thrown in a cute hat.
Don’t worry about how you are going to change during your senior photos. I understand that changing in the car can be a pain and it might affect what choices you make for your outfits. I have a changing tent that I bring with me. I’ll just pop open the changing tent and you are good to go!
