We had a lovely overcast day for Jon & Amy’s wedding, no rain, just a little cloudy. While it was early November it wasn’t too chilly. I had Kate, of Kate Guillette Photography shooting with me because Drew was unavailable. Kate was a fabulous stand in for MrDrew! Everyone got ready at the Peabody Holiday Inn (which I must add is a gorgeous hotel, they did a great job with the recent renovations). We then headed over to the church in Marblehead MA. Our Lady Star of the Sea is a gorgeous stone church in Marblehead. We quickly did some posed photos at the church and then we were on our way to the reception at Brooksby Farms in Peabody (I love this venue, if Drew & I had gotten married on the North Shore this would have been where we would have had our reception). Once we got to Brooksby Amy & Jon were ready to dance & party all night long with their guests. It was a great party for sure! Enjoy the photos. Thanks for letting Kate & I be a part of your wedding.
Getting ready & excited for the ceremony! Danielle did a great job with hair & makeup. The bridesmaids were all raving about her on the way to the church. Kate, hung out with the guys before and had some time for posed shots. It made shooting after much quicker. I’d love to always shoot the formal stuff before. I want more couples to do a first look (you see each other before the ceremony) it gives you more time to shoot) One of the groomsman went down the aisle before he was suppose to. He came back & walked down again, apparently he just needed a practice run. Such a gorgeous church. While I like shooting outdoor ceremonies, you can’t get much more grand then a church. This one was amazing, I love the lanterns. Being FIERCE for sure. My favorite image from the “formal” posed images. I just love this image. Amy, you are absolutely STUNNING!! Amy had the idea that the groomsman would pick her up while she sat on the bench. Yep, she is awesome! What!? Badass guys! CHECK!! The Dad’s just hanging out before the reception.Kate took this before everyone was introduced at the reception. I love how they are all lined up (so does Drew)
I love this moment. I’m not going to lie, I got a little teary eyed during their first dance. A note that Amy’s cat Phil “wrote” and left for her Dad when she left to move in with Jon. I love the paw print on it. The cake was a vegan cake & was super yummy (tasting the cake is one of my favorite perks of shooting weddings!) Hippie Chick Bakery did a great job with the cake. I love a good dance party and this reception did not disappoint! The dance floor was packed most of the night, and Kate & I were right out in the middle of it capturing all the great moments. Kate kindly filling in for the mustache photo. Luckliy Jon had a mustache so Kate, Amy & I could sport the fakes without any issues.
