I’ve known Bob & Michelle since high school. I’ve actually known Bob since middle school (that seems like forever ago, which it is). In high school Bob use to drive my twister (twin sister) & I to school. He lived in the same neighborhood as us and had his license before us. Mel & I (I am also assuming Bob, but I don’t want to speak for him) have fond memories of driving to school each day. Fast forward to the present. Bob and Michelle got married (after being high school sweethearts, can you even handle the cuteness of that!) and had the adorable little Evelyn a few months ago. I contacted Michelle and told her I had to photograph Evie because she is just the most adorable little nugget I’ve ever seen (You’ll agree with me after you’ve look at the photos). Luckily Michelle said she’d love to have me come over & photograph Evie, so I didn’t have to do it illegally 🙂
For the record this one if my favorite! I just think it is so sweet to see a Dad holding his little girl. When Evie is grown up I hope this will be a photo that she looks at and remembers that she will always be Daddy’s little girl (sorry to get so sappy, but that’s the way this photo makes me feel). All my lady readers answer me this: Do you wish you had this type of photo with your Dad? I thought so!!
Evie was awesome with looking right at the camera! Maybe part of it is I am use to my own daughter Prue not wanting to ever look at the camera, she is always looking around me when I am trying to take photos of her!
We spent a little time playing outside, but Evie got a little fussy. I think she wasn’t really a fan of the sun being in her eyes. We still got a few adorable shots and then headed back indoors to do a few more.
Trying to eat her tutu. I am pretty sure she was thinking “what the heck is this that you put me in” Especially since she spit up on it as soon as she was changed into this. It was actually quite funny. Michelle had her all changed and brought her back out to show off how cute she was and to set up the next shot. Within seconds of them coming back she spit up. That is what you have to expect when shooting babies. You can’t control what is going to happen and you just have to go with the flow! We got her wiped up and worked it out 🙂
I love photographing babies toes, they are just so tiny and cute 🙂
This is super model Evie, I think she is saying “ohhh, don’t you wish you could all be as fabulous as me?” It was a perfect little pose!
Michelle & I snuck this last one in when Bob walked away. We had finished with the session & I was packing my things up. We have several of these mustaches in our bags to use at each session (thanks to our good friend Kate of Kate Guillette Photography for buying them for us as a gift). Bob I hope you get a good laugh from this photo. Who doesn’t love mustache on a stick?
Bob, Michelle & Evie: Thanks so much for letting me come hang out with you three! It was a pleasure to photograph your family. I hope the future holds more family photo sessions (& more adorable little nuggets!)
