Mel and Dan got married on a beautiful day this past April at the Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers MA. You might remember them from their engagement session (which seems like ages ago!). The day was a super relaxed day that started at the Holiday Inn in Peabody. Once everyone was ready we headed over to the venue for the ceremony & reception.
Mel and Dan have been together for quite a few years now and have grown up together from students in college to the adults they are ready to continue the rest of their lives together. The day was filled with love from their family & friends. Their wedding party and friends had a great time celebrating all night long with Mel & Dan (as you’ll see in the second blog post featuring the reception and The FunBooth we set up).
Thanks to everyone who made the day special. There were many vendors that helped, I just don’t have all of their info (I’ll get it from Mel and update the blog). A very special vendor was the wedding planner and officiant, Kathie Nutter, of We Do Weddings. Kathie is Dan’s Aunt so this wedding definitely had a very special place in her heart and you can see from all the details she attended to throughout the wedding day.
I love these shots of Mel doing the makeup for the flowergirl. It’s such a sweet moment.
A nautical themed wedding calls for a lighthouse on your garter.
Mel’s Dad was kind enough to help Dan out with tying his tie.
The bridesmaids all looked lovely (along with Mel) thanks to the Meg & Shelley from Eyeful Beauty.
I’ve never seen a dress that only had buttons and no zipper on the back. It truly was a team effort to button up Melanie’s dress. It fit her perfectly once it was all buttoned up.
So STUNNING! I’m so glad we had some time to capture a few portraits before we headed over to the ceremony.
I love the image I nabbed of Mel and Dan texting right before the ladies left to head over to the ceremony site. Dan was super cute and was asking Mel what she wanted to do for dinner later…Mel’s response, Outback 😉
Before heading over to the Danversport Yacht Club, we shot some portraits of the wedding party at the hotel. First the guys were up then they got picked up, once the coast was clear Mel and the ladies came down for some portraits.
Love the look of happiness on Dan’s face when he first saw Mel walking down the aisle. Such a great moment.
They each wrote their own vows which were very sweet and funny 🙂
Then it was time to dance down the aisle.
The wedding party really got into it. I think all the guests got a kick out of them dancing down the aisle.
You’ll see mini versions of these kettlebells make an appearance during the reception 🙂
Love this Black and White of them snuggling outside. We stole them away for 15 minutes during the reception right when the sun was setting. It’s when the light is nice and soft and it offers the couple a chance to get away from the party for a bit of alone time.
