I feel like I do this every year. It’s gets busy and then I don’t blog anything & say I’m going to work on it during the slow season. I’ll blame having an almost 3 year old on the lack of a consistent blogging schedule. We’re figuring things out and she’s at a stage where she’ll play for a bit so I can sit at the computer and get work done. So with renewed dedication for 2020 let’s see some blogging happening. We’re throwing it back to Casey+Tim’s wedding at Birch Hill Farm in Gilford NH today.
This was such a sweet wedding to capture. The entire wedding party was just the sweetest and so chill to work with. We had so much fun as you can tell from the photos. They came referred to us from one of our favorite DJ’s, Lori D, and she really got the party started during the reception. We were also blessed to be able to start the day with Sirena Rowe for makeup which was a fun surprise. Sirena is a local Chelmsford hair stylist & makeup artist & we love when our paths cross on a wedding day. We’ll shout out the full vendor list at the end of the post as it takes a team all working together for a great wedding & great vendors make our job so much fun.
I’m sure you’re here for the photos so let’s dive in!
The house on the property is such a wonderful space to get ready in. The ladies had room upstairs & the guys were downstairs.
Once Casey & her bridesmaids were all ready we popped right outside for some photos.
Next it was the guys turn. Drew was hanging out with them shooting getting ready & some portraits while I was with the ladies. The great thing was I was able to check on their progress so easily but still they were hidden from each other.
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to get started and what a gorgeous view the ceremony site offers. Absolutely stunning backdrop. You’ll see the sun started to peek out right as the ceremony was starting.
Casey opted to have Tim meet her at the door to walk down the aisle together because she was nervous about tripping and it was a really bittersweet moment for everyone since her Dad wasn’t there to do it. Casey and her mom made sure to honor her father’s memory in many ways and he was certainly a part of the day. After the ceremony we quickly did family portraits and some full wedding party portraits then it was time for some portraits of just Casey+Tim. While we were shooting portraits guests were enjoying cocktail hour in the tent next to the barn. We were able to grab some lovely details of the reception, everything went together beautifully. I loved the centerpieces (and the bouquets) from Moulton Farm. They did a wonderful job, I loved the cream with just a hint of the berry colored blooms.
After cocktail hour in the tent everyone entered the barn for introductions, dances & then dinner. This is when Lori D took over and ensured the evening went smoothly and everyone had a great time. She kept the dance floor packed all night long. We didn’t think we’d get a sunset (it just didn’t look like anything really great was going to happen) and then all of a sudden I noticed the candy colored sky on the other side of the barn. With the help from one of the groomsmen we grabbed Casey+Tim and got some lovely photos before it was too late.
Big thanks to all the vendors who worked so hard on Casey+Tim’s wedding!
