Oh, sweet blog. It’s been a minute, but I have so much to share with you. I’m so sorry I abandoned you, let’s do this and get you up to speed. We’ve had a busy Spring and Summer and now we’re about to have a super busy Fall season, but Fall is a bit easier because my two big kids are back in school. Anyway…back to the reason we are here.
Let’s check out some of our favorite images from Laurie and Mindo’s wedding that happened what feels like so long ago…even though it was just a few months ago in May. It was an amazing wedding day filled with so much love. We shot Laurie’s older brothers, Fraser & his wife Meg’s, wedding a few years ago, so it was awesome to get to do it all again for Laurie’s day. I could go on and on but let’s get into the photos!!
Laurie’s Mom customized so many items on the wedding day, from the hangers, to robes, to the wedding favors. She did it all, I’ll have to get her info to share with other brides looking for similar items.
We had a quick storm roll through a bit before the ceremony. Laurie was keeping an eye on it & thankfully it quickly passed and the venue staff could set up all the chairs for the ceremony without any issues. The guys snuck out for a bit with Drew for some portraits and then once the ladies were all ready, it was our turn. I love these photos, of the groom with his son. They are just the cutest together and you can tell Mindo is such a great dad.
We had time for a quick first look with Laurie and her Dad. We made it happen right in the hallway near the bridal getting ready room.
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to start and as you can see the sun was shinning, no threat of rain! Laurie’s nephew stole the show just a tiny bit, coming down the aisle!
I just love this shot of Laurie and her Dad walking down with the house in the background. Such a pretty shot of the property. The ceremony was filled with lots of laughter and lots of love. Laurie’s laugh is infectious. We cranked through Family Portraits and then some portraits of the full wedding party!
We snuck to the back patio area for some portraits before guests were brought in for the reception.
Cocktail hour was over and then it was time for the party to start. Laurie and Mindo did such a great job with the details. I especially loved seeing the guestbook they made & the photos on display from their engagement session. I love seeing our couples printing their images!!
Laurie and Mindo’s first dance was full of the sweetest moments.
Everything aligned and we were able to sneak out for some more portraits when the sun was setting. Harrington Farm has such a pretty field & view for sunset.
After parent dances everyone was ready to hit the dance floor and party all night long. I should have expected it because we have a soul train line happen at Fraser and Meg’s wedding but I forgot and was pleasantly surprised when the DJ busted it out. I love me a good soul train line. It’s one of my favorite things to happen during a ceremony. Laurie, Mindo and their family and friends did not disappoint! Thank you so much for having us be part of your wedding day, Laurie and Mindo…it was so much fun, even I love reliving it looking at your photos when I was prepping the blog post.
