We made the 2 hour drive up to Laconia NH this July for Lisa & Mike’s offbeat wedding. Lisa and Mike planned a 50’s inspired wedding with guests encouraged to dress in a 50’s vibe. Lisa found us through offbeat bride, a great resource for the bride that wants to do things her own way. (Thanks goes out to my future sister in law Stephanie for sharing the Mr+Mrs Drew love on the offbeat forums!). Lisa parent’s often vacation at the Summit Resort so it made sense to have the wedding in New Hampshire. They are a military family so lots of guests were traveling to the wedding. We hadn’t met Lisa and Mike before the wedding due to them living in Florida. They had lots of faith in us and we chatted over the phone and through email to get all the details of the day straight. It didn’t even matter that we hadn’t met beforehand. Lisa and Mike are two of the kindest and friendliest people we’ve met. They were super easy going and the day went smoothly, enjoyed by all their families and friends.

Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your special day. We had a blast with you guys and hope you love the images we created together! They opted to do a first look, seeing each other before the ceremony. It really allowed us the time to capture some amazing images. Lisa is for sure a DIY bride! She made her awesome button bouquet, her veil as wells as her sisters bouquet and boutonnieres for the guys. She also made these amazing yarn balls that were used for decorating the venue.
