The Yagjians | Holiday Family Portrait Session (on location Groveland, MA)

I’ve said it before on the blog & I’ll say it again I am sure…I love this family! Danielle & I have been friends for a while now (I’d use the term BFF). I headed up to their home just for a quick mini family session for their Holiday Cards. Every time I’ve been up to take photos of their little nugget, Jared was working so I had no photos of them as a family. We shot at their lovely home since it was a bit chilly and overcast. Cole was doing great and was awake and then all of a sudden he was passing out in Jared’s arms. All three of us were surprised. The first session we did of Cole it was a battle to get him to sleep…we didn’t really win, I’d call it a tie (we still got adorable shots of him).We snuck outside for just s few on their back deck. Love that little smile he showed me, it was only a second but I nabbed it!

Since Cole decided to pass out it gave Danielle & I a chance to play & pose. We kept manipulating him to get his little arms tucked under his head. He’d wake up for a second fuss and then pass right back out! Jared wanted nothing to do with what we were doing. I told him he was just as much to blame because he didn’t stop us! 🙂 Danielle thought it would be fun to do something Christmasy but because we hadn’t planned it ahead of time we didn’t have anything…until she rummaged through her decorations. She found this large Christmas stocking, that had all kinds of decorations on one side, we simple flipped it over and shimmied Cole into the stocking. We were both hysterically laughing because every time Cole moved his legs he looked like a mermaid. He’ll hate of for these photos when he is big, but oh well!

Not quite at the pose yet. I kept shooting & then manipulating just in case he woke up and was totally done with us. He looks so mad at us with his furrowed brow! We finally got the pose right where we could see his pouty little lips! SUCCESS!!!Then he woke up and it was Christmas stocking time!
